Your Local Connexions Service

Connexions is here to help you make the best start in life. Regardless of circumstances, all 13 to 19 year olds have access to a Personal Adviser.

Your Personal Adviser can provide advice, guidance and support with issues you feel are affecting your life. They can help you with a whole range of decisions such as choosing school or college courses, training and careers or helping you work out how to develop your skills through activities such as sport or voluntary work. If you want to talk to someone about problems you are having they will listen to you and, if they are not able to help you themselves, put you in touch with someone who can.

Your school or college has at least one Personal Adviser, but they are also based in Youth Centres, Connexions Centres (see links to location maps), Youth Offending Teams and other support agencies.

Connexions also provides information which is available all year round at Connexions centres. You can drop-in to ask questions or look for information using software and the internet as well as books, leaflets and prospectuses.

“Your Choice Your Voice”

Connexions Bedfordshire & Luton is carrying out an annual satisfaction survey of young people during November and December 2004.

The aim of the survey is to find out what YOU, the young people of Bedfordshire and Luton, think of your Connexions service?

A panel of young people, known as the Connexions Quality Panel, have been working very hard over the last few months to develop the questionnaire that will enable you to feedback your comments on the Connexions service.

The questionnaire will be distributed to approximately 5,000 young people across Bedfordshire. Connexions will be sending the questionnaire to the homes of 2,000 young people in November in addition to sending out lots of copies to local organisations that work with young people.

You will be pleased to know that every young person who completes and returns the questionnaire to Connexions by Friday 7 th January 2005, will automatically be entered into a prize draw. You have the chance of winning £50 shopping vouchers, a CD player (worth £25), or £15 worth of cinema/record vouchers. But you have to be in it to win it!!!

The questionnaire is attached here so that you can have your say. Please have a look, print it off, and fill it in with your views. Please don’t forget to return your completed questionnaire to Connexions at the following freepost address by Friday 7th January 2005:
