WOULD YOU LIKE TO HELP US?

Do you have an unwanted Christmas gift?
Perhaps it is the same as something you already have or that you will never use or play with?
Keech Cottage Children’s Hospice would welcome the donation of any new unwanted Christmas gifts for use either in the hospice or for raffle prizes.
Every little helps and you would be helping to make a big
difference to the some of the children who live at the Hospice.
Keech Cottage Children’s Hospice supports over 100 families from across Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire who are facing the loss of their child.
All the children cared for by Keech Cottage have been diagnosed with a life-limiting condition and are expected to die in childhood. Many have progressive, degenerative conditions and their health deteriorates slowly over many years.
Staff at Keech Cottage offer help, support and friendship to the whole family, throughout the child’s illness and after their death, for as long as it is needed. This care is available 24 hours a day, every day of the year, either in the charity’s bright and comfortable hospice near Luton, or if requested in the family home. Care is available to all regardless of race, creed or ability to pay.
Although families are offered support during sad times, the aim at Keech Cottage is to enable families to make the most of the precious time they have left with their child. There is ample provision at Keech Cottage for play and recreation, as well as specialist facilities for therapies and learning. All of these help to ensure Keech Cottage is a place for living.
To run the children’s hospice this year will cost just over £1.8m. As a charity, Keech Cottage relies on the generosity and goodwill of the local community to help us raise over 75% of our running costs.
Can you help?
If possible, please take your gift to our Flitwick ‘Hospice Shop’ at 1 Cowlgrove Parade, Steppingley Road, Flitwick. Please label the bag for the attention of ‘The Fundraising Dept, Keech Cottage’, with reference to Funkee Munkee and it will be sent to us to use at the Hospice.
