of projects ranging from one-day events to longer-term engagements. Namely AIDS Awareness, environmental, sleep out in support of the homeless, anti-bullying video, which won both the Crimebeat and Prudential Youth Awards, plays, talent shows, gigs, residentials, play schemes, sports days….
Youth Action Bedfordshire’s is young person led, meaning that the volunteers decide which projects they want to start, and it is they who plan, organise and carry
it out with assistance from staff and training.
What’s happening?
Youth Action Bedfordshire has been working with numerous young people within schools in Bedford & North Beds creating Youth Action Teams. The teams have been inspired to set up their own projects. These range from a 5-a-side football tournament, decorating
the offices of a local charity to organising a school disco to raise money for Charity.
